A Nigerian man took to X, formerly known as Twitter to call on Nigerians to help him beg renowned Nigerian artiste, Davido to refund the 500,000naira that he mistakenly sent to him, instead of his friend.
The X user, Ayomide said he was trying to send money to his friend who bears the same name as the singer but mistakenly sent to a Wema Bank Account with the singer’s information.
“Good day sir Mr David Adeleke @davido” he began on his X post, “I want to bring your awareness about an issue pls I will want you to consider me I mistakenly sent #500,000 naira to you Wema Bank with this acct num0123044967 Which was supposed to be sent to a friend of mine which name is also David Adeleke”
He added a screenshot of the transaction as proof while he called on netizens to help him appeal to the artiste for a refund. Nigerians seem to have their own view of the situation as reactions differ.
